Energy storage (ES) is seen as the key to unlocking true potential of renewable generation it potentially supports their integration into grid by providing capability for services such balancing and frequency regulation. It also has reduce peak power demand reduction (a form arbitrage) this service will be important distribution companies frees capacity on grid.
